Information Systems Working Project

OK folks, as you can see I've been happily punching away to learn how to build a webpage. Obviously I've got a long way to go and it is very time consuming to say the least. Still things are possible with this. It's really not to hard to surf the web and steal other people's coding ideas, then simply change the display. Plus, there are numerous walking brains around here that can answer any question you may have. Anyway, here are my two ideas for the project.

	1. Build a site for on-line voting. This could be used on
campus, by a city, state, or government. This was
my original idea, but I'm against it now simply because
of the security algorithm potential. It obviously
wouldn't work without security and that involves using
cgi-bin files which even my best sources of info don't
seem to understand. Hey, it's Spring. Why make life
		difficult?

	2. Build a non-biased information site for voters to check
out the candidates. This is my baby, but I'm sure
some a$$ h0le will make millions off in a few years.
Basically, the webpage makes money through subliminal
advertising, like all others. It draws people in
because it gives provides access to all information
(PRO and CON) about all candidates. The site would
be designed like an index that could quickly take them
to the correct election, in the correct area, for the
correct office. It would then show pictures of all
candidates running with links to information on them.

Keep in Mind -

This is only a PLAN! What we don't get done, we write into our "projected plan for the future". In other words, we include at the end that, with time, we will develop a security algorithm strong enough to support on-line voting. Voters come in, read about the candidates, and make their choice.

Let me know what you think. I'm going to Murphy's for a beer.
