This site is full of links to pictures. I didn't put any of them on the page because it would probably take a day to load. The pictures are explained here and linked to separate pages.
The first picture is me of course! It's not too hard to guess where this was taken. This is just me doing my thing
Next is my brother, Seth. Notice that he is the rough and tough one which explains my shy, reserved demeanor!
Hiding behind door number three is my Mom. Here she is shown working in the yard, battling her ever present enemies...the weeds and the rocks.
I didn't have a very good solo picture of my Dad. He seems to always have somebody else around when the photos are shot. Here we see him in Bavaria with the Neuchwanstien Schloss in the background. I cut out myself and the smelly German photo-op guy in liederhosen to the left to spare you the pain.
My final family photo available right now is of Grandma and Grandpa Owens. If you see them, be sure to congratulate them on their 60th wedding anniversary! Here they are on their new porch. Believe it or not, this house has been there for some seventeen thousand years.
This first one is more than just a friend. I might even get in trouble for not creating a separate category for her (but I can always say I just didn't know how!) This is my girl Kelly. Often confused with Sandra Bullock (grin!), this one is an English teacher, not an actress. Thus note my proper grammar!
These are my brothers from the 9th Engineer's. They are a great bunch of guys that can get the job done right and still have plenty of energy left to tear up the town! Clockwise from top - Brundog, Garner, Royboy, Katz, Lil' Donnie, and M-wa.
Here are approximately the same guys doing the afterwork thing at the Fiddler's Green in Schweinfurt! I think this was after some party at Garner's. This time you start with me, Nestor, Katz, Johnny Frick, Kev Hare, Aaron Magan, and Nate Johnson - probably the craziest guy I've ever met...
Welcome to the scenic arena. I've spent quite a bit of time in Europe and that is where my camera was busiest. Thus a lot of these will be from the Fatherland. First is a shot taken while I was at work. Hohenfels, or "High Rocks", lives up to its name. It is where the US Army learns how to play well with others. My truck, Dawg-36, made the climb up a forbidden hill overlooking the morning mist rising from "Alpha Bowl".
You've seen a sunrise, so here's a sunset. To view this one properly, I had to scale down a cliff on the backside of The Isle of Capri. This amazing little island sits off the coast of Italy near Naples. No cars are allowed there. Very Mediteranean (too lazy to look up the spelling!) This view looks west across the Tyrhennian Sea.
While we are down on the Med, I wanted to stick this view in. It is from the balcony of our hotel on Ios in The Greek Isles. The name of the place is Ferdinand's or Fernando's...I'm not quite sure. Anyway, that view and the room and patio that go with it will run you only about six bucks a night! If you are up for a raging party, go to Ios. If you are more on the honeymoon trip, try Santorini.
Had one of my many close life and deaths on this little hill. Aaron and I started the morning out in the little village you see down by the lake (about 8500 feet down!). The mountain is Zugspitze, the highest point in Germany, which happens to be along the Austrian border. We made the mistake of attempting the North Face with no climbing gear.
I had a hard time doing this one justice in photo editor. The sunset you see here is looking west from Innsbruck, Austria. Even the picture itself doesn't really explain what this looked like.
This is one of my all time favorites. It almost looks like a drawing, but it's for real. To see it, you have to go to the very top lift of Steinplatz, a ski area near Kitzbuhel in the Tirol region of Austria.
I'm going to wrap it up with a stateside picture of Kel and I in front of Disney's Tower of Terror which we had just witnessed first hand.
It's really hard to tell when I will get around to updating this...but don't hold your breath. Hope you enjoyed what is here now. Peace, out.
